In celebration of the Iroquois County Historical Society, the Old Courthouse Museum documentary was created to capture the history of the Society as well as the Old Iroquois County Courthouse that they fought hard to save and convert to a museum. This time capsule, dubbed ‘The Best Kept Secret of Iroquois County’ is situated in the middle of Watseka, Illinois. This forty-five minute documentary features twenty current and former members of the Society, as well as a walk-through tour of the various rooms and artifacts held within the museum.
Phil Gioja earned a Superior Achievement Award from the Illinois State Historical Society for his work on this project.
Old Courthouse Museum was shot on a Canon XF300 camera in HD recording to digital media. It was edited in Final Cut 7 on a MacBook Pro.
